   Four angry and determined market woman spearheaded by Mama Ngozi(Omoni Oboli) and Madam 12 : 30 (Uche Jombo) turn around the fortunes of a young 13 year old girl betrothed to an Alhaji by her father (Udoka Oyeka) without the consent of the mother Mama Amina ( Ufuoma Mcdemot).

   Afterwards, these women decide to take laws into their own hands to protect the child by embarking on a strike which definitely affected their husbands. despite all Papa Ngozi (Kenneth Okonkwo), Calistus (Julius Agwu) and friends effort to stop the strike, it gets the attention of the massses, government,local and international press especially Senator Aniete Isong's (Kalu Ikeagwu) wife Vera Isong (Chioma Akpotha) who is willing to go any limits to support the cause of the women.

    Omoni Oboli picked her characters carefully as they all did a wonderful job bringing lots of humour into passing the message. Mama tola  (Kehinde Bankole) and Christy (Peggy Ovire) ,the two other market women also illuminated the Scenes with their cheeky characters. powerful and rich Sound mixing,professional cinematography, continuity ,location and good editing makes it a masterpiece. 

     The Movie "WIVES ON STRIKE" also highlights the power of women and the inevitable role they play in the Nigerian Society.  

   So if you are having bad day or not just happy,"WIVES ON STRIKE" is that movie that movie that would put you right back on track. ENJOY !!!
