Over the years, Africa Largest Movie industry  Nollywood has hit a financial boom , Here are five of the players that have merited from the boom.



1. Richard Mofe- Damijo

Richard Mofe Damijo is a Nigerian actor and politician. In 2005 he won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He is a former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Nigeria. he is Currently an ambassador of Nigerian Telecommunication giant Globacom.

2.  Jim Iyke





Regarded as Nollywood bad boy, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke, is a Nigerian actor in Nigeria's movie industry and one of the veterans of the Nigerian Movie Industry. The singer- Song-write is one of the popular Nollywood actors has performed in over 150 films. He has earned a lot of money from acting, endorsements and his business.

3. Desmond  Olusola Elliot


  The politician currently representing Surulere Constituency in the lagos state house of assembly. He has starred in about 150  films and a number of television shows and soap operas.


He has had lots of endorsements including with Nigeria's Homegrown telecommunication Giant, Globacom  owned by Nigerian Business Mogul, Gbenga Adenuga.


4. Nkem Owoh

Nollywood star, Nkem Owoh is a Nigerian actor and comedian. In 2008 he won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading role.

5. Ramsey Nouah


With an amazing talent and acting range, he has managed to remain new and fresh even after more than two decades in the industry. He has won numerous awards for his acting and contribution to the African entertainment industry in Nigeria and around the world. In 2010, he won Best Actor at the African Movie Academy Awards for his performance in The Figurine(2009).
Nouah blends developing slates of films under his production company with starring in various genres of films that appeals to him.
